What a year 2016 has been here at Dreamscape Designers! We have stayed busy helping homeowners throughout the Hampton Roads region create the outdoor landscapes of their dreams. As we approach the end of another year, we pause to take note of some of the projects we've completed, and what we have seen as trends throughout the landscape design industry.
One of the most common things we've heard from our clients this year is a desire to create outdoor spaces where they can find more relaxation and enjoyment doing the things they love. How have we helped clients with that? Here are a few of the ways:
Low-Maintenance Plants. Choosing native, hardy plants plays an enormous role in creating outdoor landscapes that do not require a lot of upkeep. We work with you to find the right variety of plant types that will make your yard look its best, while also allowing you to keep more of your precious free time for the things you enjoy.
Smarter Hardscapes. Gone are the days of boring concrete slab patios and walkways – we know that homeowners want more out of their hardscapes. Dreamscape Designers has over 30 years of experience in creating beautiful, functional and unique paths and patios from a variety of materials, keeping in mind the proper balance with transition zones.
Outdoor Living. What's one design trend that doesn't show any signs of stopping? We're seeing that landscape improvement projects are driven by a desire to find more enjoyable ways to entertain, cook, relax and recreate outdoors. Your outdoor spaces should be places where you look forward to spending time with the people you love, or simply enjoying your morning coffee.
Tying It All Together. We believe that just like any room inside your home, your outdoor spaces should look stylish and work together seamlessly. When you have different elements – a pool, a sitting area, and outdoor kitchen or garden – it's often helpful to get the expertise of a design expert to make all the pieces complement each other.
We are lucky enough to live in a part of the country that stays mild for much of the year. That's one of the reasons so many people come to us looking for guidance in finding more enjoyment outdoors. Whether you want to design an outdoor kitchen for entertaining, upgrade your patios and walkways, create a cascading waterfall feature, or simply provide a peaceful space for you and your family to enjoy any time you want, we are here to help.
If you weren't able to take advantage of these outdoor improvement upgrades in 2016, they certainly won't be going out of style in 2017. Give us a call to talk with our team of experienced design professionals for a free, no-obligation estimate – 757-412-1265.
